EMvTW 70: Voth City Ship

NOTE:  You can click on most pictures to get a larger view of them.

Next up in my Eaglemoss reviews is the Voth City Ship.

Eaglemoss yet again delivers us another one of a kind with this model as well as completing the collection of Voth ships for us.  Not to long ago, in Issue #62, they brought us the Voth Research Vessel (Read my review at THIS LINK), so now, you can have them both in your collection.

Here are some various angles of the Eaglemoss model.

The in-universe stats for this ship have it measuring it at around 7 miles long!!!  Which could mean that scaling it down to this small of a model could result in some detail loss.

Eaglemoss has clearly knocked this one out of the park in giving us a great rendition of the Voth Cith Ship.

Although the model appears to be relatively smooth at first glance, upon closer investigation, you can see that they managed to sculpt and mold all sorts of details into the metal and plastic parts.

Although the paint job COULD have been plain and boring, Eaglemoss again showed us that they know what they are doing.  Instead of a nice boring single color paint job, they managed to sneak in little panel highlights all over the hull.  And the blue highlights for the habitat areas and engine housing all line up perfectly with their molded in details.

The joins and seams all blend in well on this model so that you really need to concentrate to find them.

Like the last two issues, this model has no clear plastic parts, but I'll be honest, it doesn’t need them.  To put them on the model, would have been a design nightmare for Eaglemoss and would have meant that they cut corners elsewhere.  It was a good choice to leave them out.

Pricing in at $24 (shipping included) on eBay makes it a worthwhile model to add to your collection, especially if you already have the Voth Research Vessel.

As always, I hope you found this article useful and informative.  If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to comment below.

So for now, "Live long and prosper!!!"
