Eaglemoss continues to produce ships under thier "Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection" label. I have been making pre-order purchases of these ships as soon as they go online, and then wait patiently for a few months for them to come to the United States. This has been the new norm when it comes to collecting under that "Finished" line of models, but in some cases, the wait is worth it.
The latest Shuttlecraft Collection went up for pre-order in the United states back September 2021, and I just received my set in February 2022. I truly believe though that this set was worth that wait for several reasons.

First Contact Day is a holiday celebrated to honor both the warp 1 flight of the Phoenix and first open contact between Humans and Vulcans on April 5th, 2063 in Bozeman, Montana. In June of 2020, Eaglemoss made first contact for us by releasing the Special Edition version of the vessel that made First Contact in 2063.
We first get to see this starship in the movie called Star Trek: First Contact (1996).

Our next Special Edition model from the Eaglemoss Star Trek collection is the SW7 Class Long Range Shuttle, and is from one of the movies rather than a series.
We first get to see this starship in the movie called Star Trek: The Motion Picture. (1979). My collection consists of the very large Eaglemoss model, and the very small MicroMachine model.

It's been two month since my last review. This time, the delay wasn't financial. I actually have completed collecting all 180 of the Standard Edition models that were released and I am continuing to collect the Specials and Extras as they trickle into the collection. Sometimes, life throws curve balls at you. And I think we can all agree that 2020 has... how shall I say it... not been the best year. Well, there have been lots of things happening behind the scenes for me which can best be summed up with the following picture...
But, I really want to push through and continue with these reviews, so enough of that introduction and let us move forward. Hopefully I can get back into some sort of groove and keep writing these things on a more regular basis.

First Contact Day is a holiday celebrated to honor both the warp 1 flight of the Phoenix and first open contact between Humans and Vulcans on April 5th, 2063 in Bozeman, Montana.
We later find out in the second season of Star Trek: Enterprise that the Vulcans had actually visited Earth before then, between October, 1957 and January, 1958. We also learn that the visit, and the extended stay was not intentional.
For this issue of Eaglemoss vs. The World, we are going to take a look at the D'Vahl.
We first get to see this starship in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode called "Carbon Creek", where it went to Earth to rescue the three Vulcans who were stranded there..

NOTE: You can click on most pictures to get a larger view of them.
The second model for this month's Eaglemoss vs. The World series is a ship we finally get to see in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode called "Unification - Part 2". I am talking about the Vulcan made Apollo Class starship.
While this type of ship is mentioned several times throughout TNG, it isn't until this critical episode that one actually makes its appearance on screen.

EMvTW 134: Vulcan Survey Ship (20th Century)

And we are moving right along with my catching up on the reviews since the new job situation. Next up is the Vulcan Survey Ship that we are introduced to in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode called "Carbon Creek".
In the Star Trek Universe, this is a relatively small starship, which plays to our advantage because when recreated at this scale, Eaglemoss has a much larger canvas to work with.

EMvTW 88: Vahklas
NOTE: You can click on most pictures to get a larger view of them.
It's time for another alien vessel in my Eaglemoss vs. The World series. This time, the Vulcans bring us yet another vessel that we get introduced to in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode titled "Fusion".
According to this Memory Alpha LINK, "The Vahklas was a Vulcan civilian transport commanded by Tavin, the leader of its crew of V'tosh ka'tur. The vessel used a Vulcan frequency to hail other ships and was capable of visual communication. The Vahklas left Vulcan in approximately 2143." There also is some other information about this type of ship ate this Memory Alpha LINK.

EMvTW Special 07: Jellyfish
NOTE: You can click on most pictures to get a larger view of them.
My last Eaglemoss Vs. The Review for this month is going to focus on Eaglemoss' special release model, The Jellyfish. We are introduced to this vessel in Star Trek (2009), which I "lovingly call NuTrek.
Eaglemoss has produced this model in thier larger Special Edition size. Personally, I think it was a waste for them to do this, but apparently, they are being forced to by Paramount, who are being buttholes about licensing. I want to use a stronger language than butthole to demonstrate how I really feel, but I also have to keep this clean for my reading audience. So the story is, Paramount will only allow Eaglemoss to produce ships from the new movies as Special Editions, so in several cases, we are forced to wait and then we are "treated" to something that is just plain over the top and wasteful from a design and model perspective. I've complained about this before, so I will stop my ranting there.
You can read more about The Jellyfish through these links at Memory Alpha and Memory Beta.

Rewrites: March 2017 & February 2019
Next up in my Eaglemoss vs. The World series is the Vulcan D'kyr class ship that we see first in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode called "Shockwave, Part II". The D'kyr class then makes appearances in ten more episodes after that.
I'm happy to report that I actually have two different models of this ship to share with you for this article. Besides the Eaglemoss model, I also own the Hallmark variant as well.

Rewrites: May 2016 & August 2018
It's a new month and it brings with it two new ships from Eaglemoss for my collection. In this article, I'm going to highlight the Vulcan Suurok Class ship.
We are first introduced to this massive starship in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode called, ""Breaking the Ice"

Since Eaglemoss is the only manufacturer to offer a pre-built and pre-painted model of this ship at this size, I of course only have this one in my collection.
